We complete risk assessments for venue, activities, individual needs, and trips, and review them regularly. Staff make dynamic assessments throughout sessions. Actions are tracked to completion.
Gaming/Digital: PEGI-appropriate content, filtered web access, supervised log-ins, time limits, and behaviour standards. Incidents are managed under Safeguarding and Data Protection.
Applications, structured interviews, two references, ID/right-to-work checks, enhanced DBS where required, and clear safeguarding responsibilities in role descriptions. Induction covers safeguarding, H&S, EDI, data protection, and code of conduct.
At least one paediatric first aider is always on duty. We log and review all accidents/near-misses; inform parents/carers for child incidents; and report to authorities where required (e.g., RIDDOR).
We follow food hygiene standards. We collect allergen info at registration, label clearly, avoid cross-contamination, and operate a nut-aware approach unless a different risk-assessed policy is communicated.
We use granular consents (website/socials/press; named or unnamed; group shots). Consent can be withdrawn at any time; we remove images under our control within reasonable timeframes. No personal devices used for photos.
Staff/volunteers can report concerns about poor practice or wrongdoing. Reports are taken seriously and individuals are protected from victimisation.
For partners/funders requiring detailed procedures and named contacts (e.g., DSL, Data Lead), please email: info@luminokids.co.uk. We typically provide the pack upon collaboration or due diligence review.
